SJC Celebrates 79th Indian Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

St Joseph’s College, Hassan, marked the 79th Indian Independence Day with a well- coordinated and spirited ceremony. Mr James Sudeep K, Office Administrator at SJC, served as the Chief Guest, unfurling the national flag and delivering an inspiring address on the importance of safeguarding the nation from disharmony and disunity.

The celebration also featured heartfelt messages from Fr Maxim D’Souza SJ, Fr Olvin Veigas SJ, and Mr Pradeep Kumar, urging all to uphold the values and sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters. Students filled the campus with patriotic melodies, highlighted by a moving rendition of “Mera mulk mera desh” by Ms Laya Divakar, faculty member at SJC.

The programme was efficiently coordinated by Mr Range Gowda, faculty of Kannada, in collaboration with the Student Council members.
