NSS Camp 2025: Fostering Service, Cleanliness, and Community Spirit

10 June 2025
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of St Joseph’s College, Hassan, organized a rural outreach camp at Magge Village in Hassan District. The four-day camp was a blend of discipline, learning, and service, beginning each day with flag hoisting and continuing with activities such as cleanliness drives and village interaction programs.

Students actively participated in cultural performances, awareness campaigns, and village cleaning initiatives. The camp also featured inspiring sessions on social values and self- employment opportunities, led by guest speakers Mr. Benjamin and Mr. Karthikeyan. Their talks motivated students to think critically about their role in building a better society.

The camp culminated in a meaningful valedictory function presided over by Dr. Fr. Maxim Dias SJ, who praised the students' enthusiasm and the villagers’ warm cooperation. The success of the camp reflected SJC’s ongoing commitment to social engagement and youth empowerment.

The event took place from March 08 to 11, 2025.
