St. Joseph’s College Hassan Conducts Plastic Awareness Drive 2026–27

AICUF and NSS Club of St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, organized a Plastic Awareness Drive 2026–27 on the theme “Choose Earth. Refuse Plastic.” The campaign began at Dairy Circle, Hassan, where students held awareness placards and raised slogans urging the public to reduce plastic usage and protect the environment.

The students conducted a cleanliness drive from Dairy Circle to the college passing through Bangalore - Mangalore Highway, collecting plastic waste and litter along the route. The initiative transformed environmental awareness into meaningful action, promoting civic responsibility and sustainable practices.

The programme was supervised by Dr. Maxim Dias SJ, Principal, and Fr. Arvind Royce SJ, AICUF Animator, Mr. Range Gowda, Mr. Keerth N. R, and Ms. Ashwathi K. M, Ms. Renisha Pereira – NSS Coordinators; Ms. Khushi G. S – AICUF President; and Mr. Pavan Kumar – NSS President. The event took place on 29 September 2026.
