St. Joseph’s College, Hassan Holds Press Meet Ahead of Free Placement Drive

Hassan, August 2026: St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, held a press meet at the Press Club, Hassan, to announce its upcoming Free Placement Job Drive, scheduled for 24–25 August 2026. The initiative aims to create meaningful employment opportunities for UG and PG graduates from Hassan and beyond.

Fr. Olvin Veigas SJ, Campus Animator and organiser of the drive, highlighted that the initiative is rooted in the college’s commitment to community engagement and service, nation-building, and social responsibility. Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Vice Principal, Mr. Rangegowda, Faculty of Kannada, Ms. Shashikala, Librarian, and representatives from Magic Bus India Foundation, Mr. Nikhil Tejas and Mr. Basappa, also spoke about the initiative.

A few student council members accompanied the team. The journalists interacted with the organisers and their questions were addressed. The college appealed to the media to extend wide publicity to the placement drive so that more graduates can benefit from this employment opportunity. The press meet was held on 18 August 2026.
