St Joseph’s College Hassan Signs MoU with Indian Postal Payments Bank to Strengthen Student Internships

St Joseph’s College (SJC), Hassan, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Postal Payments Bank (IPPB) to facilitate structured internship opportunities for its students. This collaboration aims to enhance students’ practical exposure, industry readiness, and career prospects by providing hands-on experience within a central government financial institution.

The college expresses its sincere appreciation to the officials of Indian Postal Payments Bank for their readiness and goodwill in partnering with SJC Hassan to offer industry-relevant exposure to students. The institution gratefully acknowledges the support of Dr. Rajeev Awasthi, DGM (Circle Head), Mr. Rajendra Prasad, Senior Manager, Mr. Sandesh Limbu, Manager, IPPB Hassan, along with Mr. Mubarak Kaniyar and Mr. Sudeep of IPPB Hassan.

This MoU marks an important milestone, as a central government entity like Indian Postal Payments Bank has partnered with the college to contribute to national initiatives such as Skill India and Viksit Bharat Abhiyan. Currently, 11 final-year BCA students are undergoing internships at IPPB, and additional batches of BBA and BCom students are expected to begin their internships soon.

The collaboration process was facilitated by Fr. Olvin Veigas, SJ, Coordinator of Academia–Industry Connect at SJC Hassan, in coordination with Mr. Sandesh Limbu and Mr. Mubarak Kaniyar from Indian Postal Payments Bank, Hassan. The signing of MoU took place on 28 January 2026.
