St Joseph’s College, Hassan, successfully organized a ten-day Spoken English Course for the
newly admitted students of the academic year 2026–27. The programme witnessed the
enthusiastic participation of 40 students and was designed to enhance their English
communication skills and overall personality development.
The course covered key areas such as English Grammar, Functional English, Communicative
English, Leadership, and Personality Development. Through interactive sessions and
practical activities, students were encouraged to speak English confidently and accurately,
helping them develop courage, self-confidence, and effective communication skills.
As part of the learning experience, participants also enjoyed an educational and recreational
visit to Bikkodu, Sakleshpur, providing opportunities for experiential learning and team
building.
The successful conduct of the programme was made possible through the dedicated efforts of
the faculty members of the English Department—Mr. Anil M.S., Ms. Vidya Shree, and Fr.
Aravind Royce SJ—along with the valuable support of AICUF student volunteers. The
course was held on the college campus from 18 to 29 May 2026.
