Twenty students of St Joseph's College Hassan who successfully completed their month-long
internship at India Post Payments Bank during January–February 2026 were honoured with
appreciation letters and special certificates for their outstanding performance. The certificates
were issued from the headquarters of India Post in New Delhi in recognition of the students’
exceptional contribution and dedication during the internship period.
During the internship, the students actively engaged in various aspects of IPPB’s business
structure, project writing, and field-level operations across different branches of India Post in
Hassan district. Their sincere efforts and professional commitment helped bring valuable
business opportunities to IPPB Hassan, thereby bringing laurels both to the bank and to their
college.
The appreciation certificates were distributed by Mr. Mubarak Kaniyar, Relationship
Manager at IPPB Hassan, along with Mr. Sudeep of IPPB Hassan. Dr Maxim Dias SJ,
Principal of the College spoke at the programme. The occasion highlighted the strong
industry-academia collaboration and the practical exposure provided to students through
meaningful internship experiences. Fr Olvin Veigas, SJ, faculty member, Internship and
Placement coordinator at St Joseph’s College, Hassan coordinated the event which took place
on 30 April 2026
