A two-day workshop on “Education & Skill Development: Pathway to a Resilient
Future” was organized by the Department of MBA, School of Business and Management,
AIMIT Centre, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, at St Joseph’s
College, Hassan. The workshop was conducted for the final-year BBA, BCom, and BCA
students with the objective of equipping them with essential professional and financial skills
for their future careers.
The sessions were led by eminent resource persons including Dr Rowena Wright, Associate
Professor and former Dean, Dr Beena Dias, Associate Professor and HOD and Mr
Pramodh D Souza, Ass. Professor.
Dr Rowena Wright conducted engaging sessions on “Personal Branding in the Digital
Age” and “Professional Development: The Roadmap to Victory,” highlighting the
importance of building a strong personal identity, developing professional competencies, and
preparing for the demands of the modern workplace.
Dr Beena Dias delivered an insightful session on “Finance Essentials for Future
Managers,” where she explained key financial concepts that every aspiring professional and
manager should understand in order to make informed decisions in business and personal
finance.
Mr Pramodh D Souza addressed the participants on “Fundamentals of Investing: Risk vs
Return” and “Diversification of Portfolio.” His sessions introduced students to the basics
of investment planning, risk management, and the significance of diversifying investments to
achieve long-term financial stability.
The workshop provided students with practical knowledge and valuable insights into
professional growth, financial literacy, and career readiness. The interactive sessions were
well received by the students, making the programme a meaningful learning experience.
The event took place on 5th and 6th March 2026. Fr Olvin Veigas, SJ Faculty and Campus
Animator at SJC coordinated the programme.
