New Year with Government School Children 2022

A New Year is a time full of hope – of new beginning, new experiences in life, and much more. So to mark the annual celebration of New Year for the year 2022, the student council and the extended student council body from St. Joseph’s College visited Ravindra Nagar Government School, Hassan. The school consists of students from grade - 1 to grade – 7 .The volunteers divided themselves into 3 committees namely Competition committee, dance and singing committee and experiential learning committee. They conducted a number of activities for the students like singing, dancing, pick and act, moral storytelling, drawing and ice breaking activities. The students enjoyed their time taking part in these activities as it was a new experience for them. This was followed by a small prize distribution ceremony where the winners of all the competitions were awarded by their respective class teacher and the school principle.

To mark the sweet beginnings, the volunteers arranged a cake cutting ceremony for all the students and the management at the end, for which the fund was raised through a stall put up during the college football event. Everyone was served with a piece of cake and chips. This was followed by giving a small token of love to all the students in the form of a smiley badge by the volunteers.
