The Management of St. Joseph's College Hassan, organised an orientation programme for the staff. Rev Fr. Dionysius Vaz SJ, the Rector of St. Aloysious College Mangalore, was specially been called upon to share his wisdom and knowledge which would help us to make SJC an education hub of Hassan in the near future.

The session began with the introduction of the speaker which was delivered by Rev. Fr. Roshan Periera SJ, the Director. Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vaz SJ began his talk with a brief introduction about the Jesuit Society and their mode of education. He encouraged the lecturers to take a step forward and upgrade themselves and bring in a new mode of teaching, which indeed would help the students to be upgraded as well.

He gave us a new vision on how we could contribute to the growth of the College, by keeping in mind the context, culture and heritage of Hassan. Staff had been divided into groups of 4 and each group had to pen down the changes they would bring into SJC to make it an education hub in the years to come. Every group came out with new ideas and add on courses which for sure would change the face of SJC in days to come.

The last session was basically an input session which was based on what was the need of the moment and how we could tackle it. The talk wound up with the story of Hare and the Tortoise.

Mr Dinesh Goankar, the Principal proposed the vote of thanks and handed over a memento to Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vaz SJ as a token of our love and appreciation.
